5 DROP OF SHOT BY DARKSIDE
On June 2nd, Darkside released the fifth drop of the SHOT line to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Finally, the brand gave the flavors clear, understandable names — which we appreciated.
We’ve tried all the new flavors, so let’s share some thoughts!
Our review:
Cocktail SHOT — Marketed as a smoothie, but turned out creamier than expected. Banana and berries are clearly noticeable; the feijoa mentioned on the pack is barely there. Soft and pleasant — a decent flavor.
Candy SHOT — Described as chewy candy aroma. In practice, it really does resemble yogurt-style sweets. A strong mango taste with a subtle creaminess. Berries might add background depth, but it’s not obvious. Not bad.
Lemonade SHOT — Raspberry and cherry lemonade. A truly great drink-inspired flavor with vibrant raspberry and cherry notes. Sweet and tangy profile — though of course, no actual fizz. We’d call it “Juicy” — our favorite of the drop!
Fruit SHOT — Pineapple with cactus and wild strawberry. Hmm, we didn’t really get any strawberry. Accurate pineapple with a touch of dryness and herbal notes from the cactus. Not bad, but didn’t feel particularly new.
Berry SHOT — Shadberry, cherry, and grapefruit. A solid berry-citrus aroma with a noticeable focus on serviceberry. Pretty fun — our #2 pick from the release.
