Review: DOGMA

 Hi everyone, we have been familiar with Dogma’s product for a long time [Read ourinterview with the head of the Dogma Tobacco Merchants Guild] but somehow we haven’t been able to try the updated product in a quiet environment.

At the Hookah Club Show Kazan 2023 Dogma presented its updated product, on the new 100% cigar raw material. That’s where we tried it for the first time. But, as you can see for yourself, it’s not the same at a trade show. And so recently a box with some flavors came to us. We have tried them and hasten to share with you our opinion of the updated product

What follows is our subjective assessment based on the opinions of several testers and our comments are presented. The overall evaluation is formed by revealing the average of our conclusions.

Apple punch:

Berry Punch. Doesn’t match the name. Tastes like a great baked apple, like a charlotte or strudel, only without the pastry.

Overall Impression: 4.5/5

Malahayati:

The “unflavored” is too coarse. Like Mahogany. Sweet cigar leaf, a little dry and a little sour.

Overall Impression: 3/5

Double Watermelon:

Reminiscent of the classic mix of watermelon, melon, mint, but without the mint. It’s not bad, not chemony. Quite bright.

Overall Impression: 4/5

Pushkin:

A good cigar, with peaty undertones, more tart and sweet compared to the Malahayati. Overall a more classic cigar flavor.

Overall Impression: 4.5/5

Pineapple salsa:

Not a fan of pineapple, but here it’s nice without being intrusive. Very tasty combination of pineapple and something similar to salsa or lecho.

Overall Impression: 4/5

Lemon Lollipops:

Lemon Lollipops flavor. Unlike lollipops, there is no inner filling, which is understandable. Overall the flavor is very pleasant.

Overall Impression: 5/5

Klubiana:

The flavor seemed very odd, from the jar it smelled more rich and clear, it didn’t taste the same. – Bright but unnatural strawberry, referring to strawberry liquid candy.

Overall impression: 3/5

Energizer M-150:

Energizer, doesn’t taste like energizer, smells brighter from the can. But the flavor is nice berries. Smells like straight Monster, tastes more like the caramel itself from Monster.

Overall impression: 3,5/5

Churchel:

Similar to raisins or prunes. Unusual, obscure, but interesting. It smells like Grapes and hazelnuts.

Overall Impression: 4/5

Coconut Samosa:

A nice, distinct coconut flavor, and most importantly, it’s not nasty. For coconut lovers. Tasty combination of coconut, batter and spices, but the batter feels rather creamy.

Overall impression: 4,5/5

Good Apple:

Both tastes and smells like a good green apple, moderately sour, juicy. No anise, clear and simple flavor. Overall great both solo and for mixes. Overall Impression: 4/5

Yes, unfortunately we didn’t try all the flavors. But we can confidently say that the switch to new raw materials is a success. The only thing to keep in mind is that the raw material has its own flavor. This is a peculiarity that can make someone happy and someone disappointed. Kudos to the guys for the work they have done.
