Hookah lounge in LA

Hi, I’m  Dan, and I’ve been passionate about hookahs for 18 years. Over this time, I’ve tried various types of tobacco, hookah setups, and visited lounges in different countries. My portfolio includes the following projects:

• “Puffing Rabbit” (Moscow, 2014–2016): I managed the lounge entirely, including staff supervision, purchasing equipment and tobacco, and promoting the business on social media. One major challenge was navigating new tobacco advertising regulations, but I successfully maintained stable operations with occupancy rates exceeding 70%. I used promotional campaigns to attract more customers.
• “God Save the Queen” (Moscow, 2016–2017): I applied my prior experience here with excellent results.
• “Na Svyazi” (Moscow, 2017): I developed promotional campaigns, many of which remain effective today.
• “Exotica Hookah Lounge” (Los Angeles, 2023): I worked as a hookah master to understand the local market and customer demands. This experience revealed the need for greater variety in the American market.

I plan to open a premium hookah lounge in Los Angeles that offers a comfortable atmosphere, high-quality equipment, and a diverse selection of tobacco, including American brands (Fumari, Starbuzz, Tangiers) and imports from Russia, the UAE, and the Middle East. The lounge will cater to different customer segments by offering hookahs and signature cocktails at various price points.

To promote the lounge, I aim to implement entertainment-focused solutions, making it a photogenic spot for guests to share on social media. I also plan to introduce discounts for reviews and mentions on platforms like Yelp, Google Maps, and Apple Maps, as well as for hosting events such as birthdays.

In the long term, I envision creating a chain of hookah lounges across the United States, all delivering a consistently high level of service.
