REPORT HOOKAH BATTLE EUROPE CUP AND INTERNATIONAL LOUNGE FESTIVAL 2026
This year, on May 8th, 9th, and 10th, during SHISHA MESSE Frankfurt, we hosted more than just another classic Hookah Battle.
This time, the program became bigger, more dynamic, and more international. Alongside the traditional competition format, we introduced and tested a brand-new project — the INTERNATIONAL LOUNGE FESTIVAL.
On May 8th and 9th, the Hookah Battle area transformed into an international lounge zone. Each day, 12 lounges took part in the festival — 24 teams in total over two days.
Participants arrived from 16 different countries, and that’s exactly what made the festival so unique. Every team brought its own approach: some focused on flavor, others on visual presentation, while some concentrated on atmosphere and guest interaction.
As a result, both visitors and judges experienced not just a competition, but a real showcase of the modern hookah industry.
And the stakes were high: lounges competed for the chance to qualify for the Hookah Battle Europe Cup 2026.
May 10th – Classic Hookah Battle Europe Cup 2026
After two days of the INTERNATIONAL LOUNGE FESTIVAL, the classic Hookah Battle Europe Cup 2026 took place on May 10th.
The finalists were the participants who managed to stand out among strong competition and prove they were ready to compete for the title of the best on the European Hookah Battle stage.

Nikita Yefimov — Founder of the legendary CIS VK community “Typical Shisha-packer.”
Selim Cakir — Founder of Narguitest, the first French hookah blog (est. 2013), now an internationally recognized platform for reviews and industry content.
Sezer Bayrakcioglu (Mr Colonial) — Founder of Colonial Lounge and the Colonial brand, a well-known name in the shisha scene with 17+ years on the market.
Oleg Knyaginin — Co-founder of Hookah Battle, owner of the largest VK hookah community, and industry innovator.

What is the Hall of Fame?
The Hookah Battle Hall of Fame is made up of the tournament participants and brands that score the most points in Hookah Battle tournaments. Points are awarded for participation and wins, so only active members of our community are inducted into the Hookah Battle Hall of Fame. Inclusion in the Hookah Battle Hall of Fame is a recognition of true excellence and a welcome event for everyone who has participated in our tournaments.
