ANTAGONIST

At JC Fest, after hosting our Hookah Battle Superheroes event, we discovered a new and intriguing product from Hookah Battle Hall of Fame Legend — Anton Krivonogov, co-owner of the brand. Antagonist is a unique tobacco line based on lightly smoked Burley leaves. All flavor profiles are created entirely from natural spices, carefully selected and processed using a proprietary technique — no flavorings or additives were used in making the blend.

The team introduced 10 flavors:

• CLOVE

• ANISE

• BORODINSKY BREAD

• CINNAMON

• LAVENDER

• MULLED WINE

• THYME

• MEXICO

• MASALA

We didn’t get to try everything yet, but here are a few we loved:

MASALA – A beautifully authentic masala spice blend. Rich and delicious!

LAVENDER – Excellent dry lavender profile. Tastes just like the flower itself.

PROVENCAL HERBS – A complex mix of basil, rosemary, oregano, sage, lavender, and thyme. Everything feels incredibly natural. Perfect for crafting a mix reminiscent of Italian tomato soup – even a refreshing cold summer version!

MULLED WINE – Wow. This one stands out as the most authentic mulled wine flavor we’ve ever tried.

ANISE – A very bold anise. Possibly a bit too heavy on the spices, to the point where it overpowers and starts to feel slightly unnatural.

Strength: Above average, but still smooth and comfortable.
